Data Protection Declaration

In the following data protection declaration, we inform you about the most important aspects of data processing by the Austrian Chapter of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE) – Verein zur Betrugsprävention und Betrugsbekämpfung, abgekürzt: ACFE Chapter Austria - Verein zur Betrugsprävention und Betrugsbekämpfung. We collect and process personal data only on the basis of the legal provisions (General Data Protection Regulation, Austrian Data Protection Act (DSG), Telecommunications Act (TKG)) and confidential.

Data Protection Declaration

We process personal data in connection with your membership, registration to events or newsletter or requests. Mainly we process the following personal data categories:

  • Name

  • E-Mail

  • Address

  • Company

Your data is processed and stored according to legal requirements. 

Contact with us

If you contact us, either via our contact form on our website, or by email, the data you have sent to us will be stored at least for six months, for the purpose of processing your request or in the event of further follow-up questions. Your transmitted data will not be passed on without your consent.

Website

As soon as you access or visit our website as a user, your IP address, the beginning and the beginning and end of the session are recorded. This is due to technical reasons and thus represents a legitimate interest within the meaning of Art 6 Para 1 lit f GDPR.

Cookies

Our website uses so-called cookies. These are small text files that are stored on your end device with the help of the browser. They do no harm. We use cookies to make our offer user-friendly. Newsletter

You have the option of subscribing to our newsletter, also via our website. For this we need your e-mail address and your declaration that you agree to receive the newsletter.
If you take the opportunity to subscribe to our newsletter, your email address and your consent/declaration of consent to receive the newsletter will be required. As a result of registering for our newsletter, you will receive a confirmation email from us with a link to confirm your registration. You can cancel your subscription at any time. Your data in connection with the newsletter dispatch will be deleted by us immediately in the event of cancellation. The legality of the data processing that took place until the revocation, which happened on the basis of the consent, is not affected.
